ADHD Podcasts | Meet Chris DeBaca
This Sunday I will be joined by Chris C. De Baca! He is a member of my support group and will talk about his story and his growth! Chris is 47 and was raised in Hawthorne, CA. After Graduating from high school, he went on to trade school. Chris joined the Army, got married, and had a son. While in the Army, Chris earned a bachelor’s degree. After serving 21 years he and his family retired from the Army and settled into civilian life in Ventura, CA.
In 2011 Chris was diagnosed with and began treatment for Adult ADHD. His diagnosis answered four decades of questions previously written off by others as simply having poor character traits or work ethics. While this opened a door to a new reality, it did little to prepare him from the impending collapse of his life.
Shortly after this collapse, he learned of CHADD’s adult ADHD group in Torrance CA. Though other similar groups were available closer to his home, this group was the group he felt was going to make the difference for him. So convinced of this, he commuted 300 miles round trip each week for 4 to 5 hours to attend the 90 minute meeting. Chris did this for months, and maintains his decision and says, “The hours & gas spent were small investments compared to the friendships, tools and new life perspective I received in the process.” Chris has a story to tell and I am so excited to have him on the show. Don’t miss it.
Won’t you join us Sunday July 20th at 4pm PST 7pmEST as my friend Chris C. DeBaca Shares his powerful story as my guest on the Miss ADD Show.
